Guess what I'm doing?

quilting in progress

I'm feeling quite giddy now that it's finally starting to seem like a Real quilt.

Pinning and basting the sandwich together well is truly the trick to machine quilting. I can't wait to see how it turns out!!! I do love the fabric you chose.

Yay! Machine quilting largish quilts is a bear, but you do get better at it with practice. One thing that I found helped me was to pull the table my my sewing machine is on (you look like you've got a built-in cabinet for yours) further out from the wall so that the bunched-up-against-the-wall quilt wasn't causing the machine resistance.

Can't wait to see it when it's finished!
